Fake 20TB Toshiba drive bought for £38 crashes on first day of use

A buyer purchased an external hard drive labeled as a 20TB Toshiba Canvio for £38, about $51.
Windows mounted the plugged-in device as a 19TB disk.
The drive froze and failed to open copied files on its first day of use.
The buyer's son, Martin, stated on Reddit and to Ars Technica that files could not be opened even after reformatting.
Martin opened the case to find the scam hidden inside.
