FBI seeks 'Most Wanted' fraudster Manjit Singh Bedi in alleged $600K SNAP food stamp scheme

Manjit Singh Bedi is wanted by the FBI in an alleged $600,000 Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program (SNAP) food stamp scheme, and is currently believed to be residing in India.
Bedi is a naturalized U.S. citizen born in India who owned Asian Grocery Store in Tacoma, Washington.
The FBI alleged Bedi defrauded the U.S. government of at least $600,000 between March 2024 and June 2025 by swiping participants' SNAP EBT cards for cash instead of selling food, keeping the proceeds for himself.
Following an indictment for wire fraud and SNAP benefits fraud, Bedi was ordered to surrender his passport and remain in Washington state, but drove across the border to Canada and fled to India.
A federal arrest warrant was issued on May 21, 2026, in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, charging Bedi with Violations of Conditions of Supervision.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Manjit Singh Bedi.
Anyone with information concerning Bedi can contact the FBI's toll-free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
